New Family memberships may be available by fulfilling the following criteria:
   (1) applicant accepts conditions of membership agreement (see below)
   (2) applicant completes and submits a new membership application
   (3) applicant pays $50 one time application fee (not refundable)
       plus $425/year annual membership fee
       plus $350 bond (refunded when membership ends)

MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT

REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP
				 
1.Membership 
   A. I/We agree to pay Seasonal Dues of
      Four Hundred Twenty Five Dollars ($425) for the 2008 season,
      Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($350) refundable Membership Fee
      (Refundable after someone assumes this membership.),
      and Fifty Dollars ($50) non-refundable Initiation Fee.
   B. Payment of annual Seasonal Dues due on or before the 15th day of May of the
      respective calendar year. The annual amount of dues shall be determined
      from time to time by the Bower Hill Swim Club Officers and Directors.
   C. Membership shall be granted on a family basis, that is to say, that a
      family membership shall entitle all members of the respective immediate
      family residing in the member's residence (adult members and their
      children)to all rights and privileges of a member in the Bower Hill
      Civic League Swim Club.
   D. Failure to pay the Bower Hill Civic League Swim Club Seasonal Dues shall
      result in a suspension of swimming pool privileges, which shall be
      reinstated only on payment in full of all delinquent dues or assessments.  
2.Transfer of Membership:
   A. Membership in the Bower Hill Civic League Swim Club shall not be
      transferable without the prior approval of the Officers and Directors of
      the Bower Hill Civic League Swim Club.
   B. In the event that there is at any time 350 members of the Bower Hill Civic
      League Swim Club, membership shall be closed to further applicants,
      whose names shall be placed on a waiting list, and admitted to membership
      in the chronological order of their applications, as vacancies may occur
      from time to time.
3.Rules of Conduct:
   A. All members of the Bower Hill Civic League Swim Club shall be bound by the
      rules and regulations governing the use of said pool as determined from
      time to time by the Board of Directors.  Such rules regarding use, safety,
      and conduct at the pool shall be posted at the swimming pool.
   B. Violation of any of the rules shall be cause for suspension of privileges
      or expulsion from membership from the Bower Hill Civic League Swim Club.
      The Board of Directors shall have the power to review such violations and
      to determine the appropriate disciplinary action to be taken. In the event
      of expulsion or suspension of privileges, the Bower Hill Civic League Swim
      Club shall exercise reasonable efforts to transfer the membership involved,
      but there shall be no obligation to refund the initial membership fee or
      dues paid by the member until such a transfer is effected,
      and then only to the extent of the monies involved in the transfer.
4.Management:
   A. The operation and fiscal management of the Bower Hill Civic League Swim
      Club shall be vested in its Officers and Directors. Certain management
      functions may from time to time, be delegated to a committee appointed by
      the aforesaid Officers and Directors.
5. Title:
   A. Title to the Swimming Pool, Civic League Building, Equipment and
      Accessories shall be vested in the Bower Hill Civic League. Use and
      operation of the pool and Civic League Building shall at all times be
      consistent with the Articles of Incorporation and by-laws of the
      Bower Hill Civic League.

POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. All members will have photo ID's on file at the gate,
   and their ID's shall be checked before admittance.
2. All persons using the pool and its facilities do so at their own risk.
   Pool management will not accept responsibility for any accident
   or injury in connection with such use.
3. The cost of any damage to the pool property will be charged
   to the responsible member.
4. No alcoholic beverages or glass containers or any kind are permitted
   on pool property including the parking lot area.
5. No running, pushing, wrestling or causing undue disturbance in the pool area.
6. No pets allowed in the pool area.
7. Admittance will be refused to anyone with skin abrasions, colds,
   coughs, inflamed eyes or infections.
8. Expectorating or blowing of nose in pool is prohibited.
9. Floating equipment and toys (made of plastic and rubber)
   will be permitted in the baby pool only.
10. Ball playing is not permitted in the pool area.
11. Only one person at a time is permitted on the diving board.
12. Swimming beneath the diving boards is prohibited.
13. After completing a dive, the diver must swim outside the diving area
    as marked by the safety cone before the next diver can dive.
14. No abusive language will be tolerated.
15. Members shall drive slowly and alertly in driveways and parking areas.
16. Parents must accompany all children who are non-swimmers into the pool area.
17. Refreshments will be consumed only in designated areas.
18. Pool management will not be responsible for loss or damage
    to personal property.
19. The pool manager and lifeguards are required to enforce the above rules
    and regulations and have the authority to restrict any member
    use of the pool for any infraction of said rules and regulations.

NOTE: Water wings in the main pool are not permitted.  This is due to
increased liability and the recommendation from the American National Red Cross
Lifesaving Rescue and Water Safety.

    New individual memberships may be available by fulfilling the following criteria:
      (1) applicant accepts conditions of individual membership agreement
      (2) applicant completes and submits an individual membership application
      (3) applicant pays $50 one time application fee (not refundable)
          plus $350/year annual membership fee
          a bond purchase is not required, but individual memberships do not have voting rights
